Historical mashups by Jason Spellman

LOOK at these crazy historical mashups by Jason Spellman. I saw them on CHPN Photos and had to go check out his Flickr for more. You should do the same. I’ve seen the original photos (except the Belle Isle one–WHERE did that come from?) but this makes them even more poignant since these are all places I pass by or walk around at pretty frequently.     Where was the one under the bridge taken with the gravestones? Just curious.

    Great question! That's on Belle Isle, right after you get off the footbridge. It's a popular area for swimming, walking, running, sunbathing, etc. but it has an interesting history that goes way back: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle_Isle_(Richmond,_Virginia)
