Well HELLO! I sure haven't updated this blog in a long time. 😅 I just wanted to peek my head in to note that the Virginia Department of Historic Resources has announced a new tool (read: a form embedded in their web site) to report any cemeteries that are being neglected. From their Instagram:
Do you know a cemetery that needs attention? Make sure that DHR knows about it too!
Report it to us with our new online map tool and form. Using your mobile device or computer, provide DHR with some basic information about the cemetery and its location. We will check our records and connect a DHR staff member with you for follow-up.

Pretty cool, though I wish this tool had been available in my peak cemetery rambling days. I encourage all you screamsters out there to use it if you get the chance.
P.S. I know this is a cruelly short post written after a substantially long absence, and I'm sorry I don't have time for more now. Know that I do have intentions of coming back and updating this blog more often, and that I have been day-tripping and photographing and sticking my nose into various dusty building all this time, if less frequently. Around here, our passion for exploring hasn't waned, just our availability. There is much to share! Everybody pray for me to enter into a sabbatical from the clutches of corporate tech job life soon.
